Welcome  to the Simley Spartans Robotics Team website

We are located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota and the school we go to is called Simley High School. What is Robotics? Robotics is a global group where high school students build a robot to be able to participant in a game created by the USFirst Robotics Association. Every year around January USFirst gives out a new scenario for a robot to complete, after this announcement we get 6 weeks to build and program a robot until we have to ship it off to  the regional.

This year the 4th year for the Smiley Spartans Robotics Team, year of 2011. we have been fundraising and earning money all year for the ability to got to two regionals this year. One in Minnesota, Duluth and the other one on the Minnesota, U of M Twin Cities campus.
This year for Robotics the challenge we have been giving is called Logomotion and we are hoping for another exciting year for Robotics.

In our 3rd year of Robotics the year 2010 the robotics team finished the season on a high note. We finished Second in the Minnesota Regional. Through many tough battles the robot went through, it broke down in the semi-finals. We were not able to fix the robot before the final round so the Simley Robotics team decided to give up its place for a working robot but unfortunately the Alliance did not win.
